| Advanced Masks |
 |
In Password Generator 2005, masking system was greatly improved and a random mask concept was introduced. Basically, random mask is a greatly extended and enhanced regular mask. With it you can create , which give you full control and flexibility.- Selective Placement Operator - <1;mask1,mask2,mask3>...<1>...<1>
Probably the most powerful operator. Basically it allows for "if A goes to X, then B goes to Y, and if A goes to Y, then B goes to X" scenario. For example, if you want EITHER numbers OR uppercase letters to appear EITHER at 3rd OR 6th position in a password, and yet you want to see BOTH numbers AND uppercase letters in a password at either of the positions, you need to use selective placement operator. - Random Distribution Operator - ( ... )
This operator lets your masks have regions where characters from various character groups are distributed randomly. For example: (uuunn) mask can have any of the following outcomes - A1B2C, 12ABC, 1ABC2, etc. - Random Length Operator - {x,a,b}
This operator lets your masks have regions with characters from specified character group of various lengths. For example: {u,2,5} can have any of the following outcomes - AB, ABCD, ABCDE, etc. - Custom String Operator - [ ... ]
This operator allows you to include any custom text or character in your passwords. For example [-whatever-]n mask will output -whatever-1. - Nesting Operators
You can nest operators in one another to produce even more astonishing results! For example: (uunn[---]nn{u,1,5}). - Dictionaries
Furthermore, you can use customized (concatenated and with tweaked letter case) words from built-in or user-defined dictionaries in your masks too! For example (ul)[-]Ann will output aB-someword23. - Endless Possibilities
With various operators, nesting of operators, customizable words, letter case tweaking and word-concatenation controls, special characters, exclusion or inclusion of any characters, custom character groups, and lots of other randomization settings, Random Mask Feature is a single most powerful password generation feature to-date! Data-bound Dictionaries are the same as Dictionaries, except that data-bound dictionary items are not taken from the file, but from the database. This allows you to use values from database in your passwords and usernames. Various settings such as filters, length, concatenation mask, trim, and letter case mask let you specify which items will be used and modify them before they are used in a password or username. - Letter Case Mask feature allows you to fully customize how various words from built-in and custom dictionaries are used in passwords. The case of letters within a word will be converted according to specified mask. For example, if mask "aA(a)Aa" will be used on word "congratulations", this word will come out as "cOngratulatioNs". There is no limit as to how customizable the letter case mask can be.
