Q. My card keeps getting rejected. Why?
A. When you click the “Submit Order” button on our system we pass your card details and the value to our bank. They in turn communicate with your bank who gives a response. We do not purposely fail your card, we only earn our money once a sale is made so we are as keen as you for a successful transaction.
Your bank has issued a "Declined" statement. It may be that your bank is not allowing your account to be charged for transactions on the Internet. You may have purchased on the Internet in the past but the vendor may not have an official Internet credit card merchant account so your bank was unaware it was an Internet purchase. Please check with your bank stating it is an Internet transaction.
Below are several other reasons why your credit card might be rejected:
- It can take 10 working days from when your credit card company received it's last payment before it credits your account
- Your card is known as an ATM card and is not really a credit card
- You entered an invalid expiry date
- Your bank has determined this transaction is outside your normal buying pattern
- Your card is an Electron they cannot be accepted over the Internet even with a VISA logo
Q. How do I get a VAT refund?
A. If you are a VAT registered entity outside of the United Kingdom you will need to follow the instructions on your receipt and send a fax of both your receipt and evidence of registration to 0044 1297 553366.
Suitable evidence could be your registration certificate, copy of part of a VAT return, or any other government official documentation showing your VAT number.
We will refund you same or following business day on receipt of such evidence. This only applies to credit card or Paypal transactions. Not to cheques or wire payments.
You will only need to do this one time for all sales via SWREG.
